Uğur Mumcu Memorial Award to Prof. Dr. Alp Erinç Yeldan

The 29th Uğur Mumcu Commemoration Awards, organized by the Eskişehir Branch of the Contemporary Journalists Association (ÇGD) and supported by the Tepebaşı Municipality, were presented. On May 15, 41 people in 16 categories had their awards.

The “Science and Technology” award was given to Prof. Dr. Alp Erinç Yeldan, KHAS Economics Faculty Member. “The proudest award I have received during my nearly forty years of academic career,” said Prof. Yeldan about the award:

“The Science and Technology Award at this significant commemoration ceremony held in honor of Uğur Mumcu, one of Turkey’s greatest revolutionary and democracy fighters, is a great honor. It is very meaningful to know that you’re not alone. Being with colleagues and students opposing the ongoing crisis of law and democracy in our country and globally makes me proud and hopeful.”
