Başak Sucuka is an entrepreneur since 2016 and has a corporate background in international companies for 7 years. She is also a TEDx speaker and listed as 40 under 40 at Fortune Magazine.

In 2017, Başak Sucuka founded Turkey’s first fundraising mobile application Givin which is a social enterprise that provides an easy and efficient way to contribute to social good, for companies and individuals. Givin helps users to convert their goods, and talents to funds for NGO projects via a mobile marketplace.

We invite all our students and stakeholders to the fourth of “Cibali Business Talks” series, on April 17th, Wednesday. We are hosting Ms. Başak Sucuko who is the founder of a pioneer social enterprise in Turkey, Givin. The talk titled “Social impact entrepreneurship” will be held in English and will take place in Galata Hall at 18:00. We will touch upon current and important issues related to Başak Sucuko’s entrepreneurial journey and social entrepreneurship.

We plan to organize six talks (face-to-face and online) throughout the academic year with founders and senior company managers from various industries. Students participating in 4 out of 6 talks will receive a certificate, among other learning and development opportunities. (International students will be eligible to receive the certificates when participating in at least three Talks in English.)
