KHU Middle-Eastern and African Studies Research and Application Center (OBAUM)

Established in 2006, Middle- Eastern and African Studies Research and Application Center analyzes information regarding the Middle-East and Africa, seeks out information and ideas about economical, national and international commercial, artistic, cultural, and social areas in the two regions.

The Center also evaluates national and in ternational academic works about the Middle-East and Africa, and tracks their development, with the goal of increasing the understanding, in Turkey, of these two regions.

The Head of The Center is Assoc. Prof. Sedat Aybar.
The team of The Center includes; Emeritus Professor John Weeks, Asst. Prof.Aylin Görener, and Assoc. Prof. Levent Sosyal.
